Micro-Grants by Prince William County Community Foundation

How do I apply?

Applications for the grants will become available January 29 during the year of application. They will remain available until the April 12, 2024 deadline. Applications may be downloaded online at the PWCCF website, https://pwccfoundation.org.

How much does it cost to apply for a Micro-Grant?

Nothing, it is free to apply.

What do I submit to apply for this grant?

I do not teach at a public school in Prince William County, can I still apply?

No, you are ineligible as the Micro-Grants are solely for Prince William County Public School educators.

Can I email my application?

Yes, it must be emailed and received by April 12, 2024, no later than 11:59pm to be considered for a grant.

How will I be notified if I receive the Micro-Grant?

The Foundation will send a letter following up with an email. Please ensure you put your current address and an up-to-dated email so we can notify you properly.

When will I know if I have been selected to receive a Micro-Grant?

Applicants should expect to hear back from the Foundation by May 1, 2024.

Will I receive the money directly if I receive the Micro-Grant?

Yes, the money will be given to the individual educator directly. The funds may be used as you see fit to support your students’ success.

If I am not selected for a Micro-Grant, may I apply again next year?

Yes, the Micro-Grants will be an annual grant opportunity for qualified educators in Prince William County Public Schools.

For how long are Micro-Grants awarded?

The grant is a one-time award.

We Care

The Prince William County Community Foundation’s Healthcare Initiative is working to collectively help improve the health and well-being of the residents in Prince William County. In collaboration with other community entities, the Foundation will provide information and share resources with other healthcare establishments to develop a plan that would collectively improve and promote strategies to improve the health of the residents.

The three categories of public healthcare needs to be identified in Prince William County were:

Substance Use/Abuse and Mental Health Conditions
Obesity, Access to Healthy Foods, and Physical Activity
Access to Healthcare (included dental care)

The Foundation will work together with community partners/leaders to better understand community health problems, prioritize health issues, help leaders to make informed decisions, and develop, implement, and evaluate a collective community health improvement effort.
