PWCCF INTERNATIONAL

At PWCCF, we believe the power of service extends beyond borders. Since launching our international mission in 2022, we've partnered with communities in Tanzania, Brazil, and Kenya to support youth development, education, and food security. From fostering cross-cultural connections to building homes and donating critical resources, each global effort reflects our commitment to compassion, collaboration, and lasting impact. These experiences continue to shape our vision and represent just the beginning of PWCCF's growing global reach.

OUR GLOBAL REACH

At the Prince William County Community Foundation (PWCCF), we believe the power of service knows no boundaries. Our commitment to uplifting, connecting, and empowering communities extends beyond Prince William County, reaching across continents to support youth and families around the world.

Our international mission began in 2022, when PWCCF traveled to Zanzibar Tanzania in partnership with Blacks in Nonprofits organization. There, they engaged with local leaders, educators, and residents to foster cross-cultural understanding and explore opportunities for meaningful collaboration. This foundational trip planted the seeds for ongoing international efforts rooted in respect, purpose, and shared vision.

In 2023, our outreach expanded to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where PWCCF, in partnership with Difference Makers, collaborated with the nonprofit organization Basquete Cruzada to support youth development and address food insecurity. As part of this effort, we donated a refrigerator to help the organization safely store fresh food and enhance its nutrition services for children and families.

The journey continued in 2024 with a return to East Africa—this time to Kenya—through a meaningful partnership with Manna International and Difference Makers. During this mission, PWCCF helped build a home for a widow and her family, providing safe and stable shelter. We also supported Manna School by donating 21 decks, supplying footwear, and distributing snacks to students, reinforcing our belief that every child deserves access to a nurturing and well-resourced learning environment.
