The Backpack Buddy Box Program provides children with up to six meals including protein-rich foods, canned fruits/vegetables, snacks, and water each weekend during the school year. Contents of the Buddy Box will vary from week-to-week.

Children Face Hunger Everyday!

1 in 6 children go hungry everyday. In Prince William County, over 14,000 children face food insecurity on a daily basis. Unfortunately, children who don’t get enough to eat — especially during their first three years — begin life at a serious disadvantage. When they’re hungry, children are more likely to be hospitalized and they face higher risks of health conditions like anemia and asthma.
